Tales of the Riverbank 2016 Successful Start

Liz Shakespeare

Liz Shakespeare

Our first event of the summer programme was almost sold out. Liz Shakespeare spoke, with authority through solid research, about the River Torridge as it has been described though literature from Elizabethan times until the present. Thanks to Walter Henry’s Bookshop for hosting the evening and supplying copious amounts of tea, coffee and biscuits! Download a Tales of the Riverbank pdf here

Dave Green

A photographic artist who has built up a unique vision of the world through his digitally constructed images. None of his photographs are simply photographs; most of them are made from up to 100 separate images layered, like strata, on top of each other to build up an impression of what it is like to be in a place, giving the viewer far more than a visual experience.
