I’ve studied Fine Art in Bradford and Exeter. Specialising in Painting and Printmaking. I enjoy the society of ideas and community and have collaborated with writers and poets. I’ve also worked with young people on digital film making and with communities on environmental art projects.
Exhibitions have included, The British Print Biennale, Sheffield Crucible,
The Association of Photographers Gallery London. Art Trek 2009.
I’ve also supplied images and artwork for commercial projects,
Woodmansterne, Boots, The Observer, RHS Garden, Bookcovers.
I have a strong interest in People and Landscape; Landscape in its broadest context; its ability to surprise to reveal layers of history, transience and certainty. People in the landscape and their challenges. I’m also interested in detail in the landscape and seascapes of North Devon. Statements about food, the environment, green issues.
I’ve worked in the Graphic Arts Industry as a studio artist, taught Art and Design in schools and Youth Centres. Presently living in Bideford as a photographer exhibiting at The Beach Café Westward Ho! and as a contributer to www.flowerphotos.com in London.
I have my own digital suite to process and print from raw images.
This autumn I’m having a go at exploring more ways to express ideas by returning to drawing and painting.
