Artrageous! Art Exhibition November 28th – January 8th

Artrageous! Art for under £100 is now up and running in Bideford Town Centre.

It features Artwork in four spaces in town – Lacey’s Ale and Cider House in Bridge St, Cafecinoplus and Froot Loop in Mill St and the window of Glover, Stanbury and Co. in Bridgeland St. The exhibtion runs in all venues except Lacey’s until January 8th 2010. Work comes down from Lacey’s on December 30th, due to the New Year’s Eve celebrations.

All of the artists featured are members of Bideford Bay Creatives and live locally. Artwork can be viewed and purchased in time for a special and unique Christmas present. You can buy directly from the artist – their contact details are with the artwork or a telephone number and email address can be obtained from staff at the venues. So if you see something you like, please phone or email the artist and arrange to meet them to make your purchase. If you are passing by in a hurry or just visiting the town on that day and can’t stay, please talk to a member of staff in the venue as it is possible to make your purchase through them.

Artists taking part are: Mike Bentley, photography; Albert Duplock, drawing and painting; Janis Glover painting; Dave Green photography; Duncan Hopkins, painting; Ian Hudson, painting; Gillie Jackson, painting; Janet Jopson, mixed media and print; Sue Russell, textile prints and Rosie Burns, painting, print and ceramics.

Please see our members’ pages for more details and information about the artists. Albert Duplock is a very new member and his details will follow shortly.

There is a special art and craft sale night at Lacey’s on Thursday December 3rd from 5-7pm and we hope that you can join us over a drink from the bar, to have a chat about our organisation, meet the members, browse the walls downstairs and tables upstairs for presents. We look forward to meeting with and talking to you whether you are a member of the public calling in for a drink; a local business person who may be interested in working with us; a member of a youth, community group or educational establishment who may also be interested in finding out more about what we do; or simply a Christmas shopper looking for something different for that someone special.

Enjoy the art and Happy Christmas from all at Bideford Bay Creatives
